The AI summary feature provides instant, customised reports on project and company pages. Rather than reading through all the details yourself, you can get a targeted summary that focuses on what matters to your business—whether that's finding pre-tender opportunities, identifying specific project stages, or locating projects in particular sectors with certain specifications (e.g., commercial projects requiring specific roofing systems).

Where to Find AI Summaries

When viewing a project or company page, look for the AI Summary section on the right-hand side (below Key Companies and Key Contacts). The summary loads automatically when you open the page.

Customising AI Summaries for Your Business

The real power of this feature is the ability to train it on your specific business needs. Here's how to set it up:

Step 1: Access Settings

  1. Click the Settings button whilst viewing a project or company

  2. Navigate to the AI summary customisation section

Step 2: Create Custom Prompts

You can create multiple prompts tailored to different scenarios. For example:

Prompt 1 - General subcontractor focus: "We are a subcontractor looking for projects where the main contractor hasn't been appointed yet. Flag if the main contractor role is already filled."

Prompt 2 - Specific sector focus: "We specialise in commercial roofing systems. Highlight projects in the commercial sector requiring roofing work and identify the stage of procurement."

Prompt 3 - Project stage focus: "We target projects in pre-tender or early tender stages. Indicate if the project has moved beyond this stage."

Step 3: Set Your Default Prompt

The prompt that's highlighted as default will be used automatically for all AI summaries. You can switch between your saved prompts depending on what you're working on.

Step 4: Generate Updated Summary

After setting or changing your default prompt:

  1. Return to the project or company page

  2. Refresh the page

  3. The AI summary will regenerate using your custom prompt

Understanding the AI Summary

The summary provides contextualised insights based on your prompt. For example:

If you're a subcontractor, it might tell you:

  • "Project is at main contract stage—main contractor already appointed"

  • "Limited opportunity for subcontractor packages as main contractor role is filled"

  • "Key contact: [Name], [Title] at [Company]"

This saves you time by immediately flagging whether the opportunity is relevant to your business.

Asking Follow-Up Questions

You can have a conversation with the AI about the project:

  • Ask for more details on specific aspects

  • Request contact information: "Who should I contact about this project?"

  • Clarify opportunities: "Are there any subcontractor packages available?"

The AI responds with context-aware answers, pulling from the project data whilst keeping your business objectives in mind.
